To value and accept every human being as a unique individual is part of who I am. Over the years I have helped people of diversity to work on acceptance around their sexuality, disability or identity, relationships with others, an HIV+ diagnosis or the multiple worlds in which they interact. These exterior worlds (family, religion, online, work etc) can challenge our own beliefs in ourselves. Working with shame, guilt, loss and trauma, I want to help every person to find, believe in and grow their authentic self.
Some of the areas I may be able to help you and your partner with are:
low self-esteem and lack of confidence
feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope
low mood, lacking energy and motivation
feeling stuck and indecisive
managing a new diagnosis of HIV
living with HIV and managing relationships
exploring self-disclosure around HIV/STIs
sex, sexual health and relationships
using party drugs for sex (chemsex)
study, work and employment issues
stigma, bullying and discrimination
self-harm and suicide ideation
family and friends’ dynamics
IVF, surrogacy, fostering and adoption
pregnancy and impact of children
exploring sexuality and coming out
identity and gender transition
psychosexual factors (e.g. performance anxiety).
‘Lisa’s support was superb. The 12 sessions were the equivalent of 24 years worth of consultant appointments! This concise, focused and timely provision of support enabled me to take ownership of my own mental – and by direct consequence, physical – health and gave me back the ability to function and manage my everyday life, not only during the 12 weeks but on a far longer-term basis too. It’s about personal empowerment and Lisa offered real world conversations that lead to real world solutions.’

‘During an incredibly challenging 2020, my counsellor, Lisa, was instrumental in helping me through a very difficult period. Our weekly chats helped me through a wide range of painful issues relating both to my HIV and to other emotional problems. It's still an enormously life-changing thing to be diagnosed HIV+ and I've felt very lonely on many occasions. The expert counselling I received has played a major part in seeing me through some of the hardest times.’
